What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. It is a data-driven program utilized to support students socially, emotionally, and academically. The program is designed to help all students to be successful in the learning environment and throughout the unstructured time (i.e. lunch, passing periods, etc.) during the school day. The PBIS model creates clear expectations for students while developing strong relationships among students and staff. Leman has a PBIS Team that consists of various staff members that monitor and analyze student data on behavior, attendance, and effectiveness of the Leman Core Values. This team identifies areas for growth and develops strategies to meet our school-wide goals. There are several incentives in place through our PBIS program that allows us to celebrate our students’ success!
Leman has adopted 5 Core Values that guide student behavior throughout the school day:
Respect for Others, Readiness to Learn, Orderly Transitions, Positive Interactions, Responsibility
