Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan is our shared commitment to every student, every family, every staff member, and the West Chicago community.

Created with input from students, families, staff, Board of Education members, and community partners, the plan provides a clear direction for District 33. It builds on the strong work already happening across our schools while challenging us to keep learning, improving, and reaching higher together.

Our Shared Direction

Over the next five years, District 33 will focus its work, resources, and partnerships around five interconnected goals.

Portrait of a Graduate

Our Strategic Plan is ultimately about who our students are becoming. By the time students leave District 33, we want them to be prepared not only for high school, but also for a future filled with possibilities. Learning experiences across the district will help students grow as:

  • Clear Communicators
  • Collaborators
  • Critical Thinkers and Problem-Solvers
  • Empathetic Individuals
  • Culturally Aware Community Members
  • Resilient Learners
  • Technologically Adaptable Students
  • Advocates for Themselves and Others

These qualities will help guide classroom learning, student recognition, leadership opportunities, and the ways we prepare students for their next chapter.
