New Asst. Director of Technology and Infrastructure

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, during the regularly scheduled board meeting, West Chicago Elementary School District 33’s Board of Education announced that it had selected Mr. Jeff Cowart as the new Assistant Director of Technology and Infrastructure beginning July 1, 2022.

Mr. Cowart is currently the Network Administrator for the Technology Department. He has nine years of experience in technology.  Jeff began his career here at West Chicago Elementary School District in 2013. As Network Administrator for the last nine years, he has been able to help the district accomplish major infrastructure upgrades such as Wi-Fi, VOIP, Security Cameras, Laptops, AV equipment, and 1:1 devices for students.

Mr. Cowart received an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Internetworking from the College of DuPage. In 2020, he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Lewis University.

In his free time, Mr. Cowart is an Assistant Girls’ basketball coach at Wheaton North High School, where he has been for the last 14 years. He has found great values in coaching, such as leadership, dedication, balance, and great approach.

Mr. Cowart is committed to the entire community of West Chicago. He is extremely thankful for the relationships he has created with the staff, students, and parents looking forward to making many more with this opportunity.
