Brenda Vishanoff has lived in West Chicago for the past 24 years. Her three children, Rebekah, Joshua, and Benjamin, attended D33 schools- ELC, Gary, and Leman Middle School. Brenda and her husband Bob are currently quarantining with their 3 children, 2 international host kids, and dog.
Brenda has a deep love for our community and heart for West Chicago residents. She has served on the D33 Board for the past 12 years and deeply believes in District 33’s mission and vision. Brenda has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree in Horn performance from Northwestern University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Aurora University. Brenda recently earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University.
Brenda is a collaborative leader and enjoys strategically developing and working with teams. She has special interest in how culture influences learning and cares deeply for the vulnerable. Brenda believes early childhood education changes the trajectory for children in academic and social emotional development. Brenda is looking forward to working alongside the Early Learning Center staff to support them in their goals of preparing children for elementary school.
