The 2025 School Board elections are coming up and District 33 has four seats up for election in the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election.

 

Please note that the deadlines for petition circulation and filing for the upcoming April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election have changed. 

Starting August 20, candidates may circulate nominating petitions for signatures. Nominating forms can be found on page 52 of the 2025 Candidates' Guide, available from the Illinois State Board of Elections. 

 

The first day petitions can be filed is Tuesday, November 12, and the last day of filing is Monday, November 18, 2024 at the local county clerk's office. This filing period is earlier than previous elections due to a change in election law (Public Act 103-600).  

To assist candidates, key dates and information about running for school board are available on the IASB website. IASB is hosting a series of webinars on how to navigate running for school board. The webinars are livestreamed and open to IASB members and the public. The first webinar in the series takes place on September 12 at noon and will cover petition circulation.
