Students in grades 5-8 receive a Chromebook for in-school use at the start of every school year. Students are expected to return their Chromebooks to the designated cart at the end of school every day and to use them for all computer-based school assignments. There is no fee to families unless a student’s Chromebook is damaged, lost or stolen.  Please see polices and procedures for more information
Technology is an integral part of the culture in West Chicago District 33. Educators use technology to enhance students’ learning experiences and understanding of the world. Students, in turn, get to expand their ability to communicate, create, collaborate and think critically through innovative lessons, assignments and projects.

The D33 1:1 Initative aligns with the district's strategic plan for student growth and achievement by providing students with regular, equitable access to digital learning tools throughout the school day.
