Ms. Kristina Davis, Ed.S.

Kristina Davis was born and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois, a suburb of DuPage County, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University (NIU) with a major in Spanish and concentration in Business and Translation. She went on to earn a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Educational Specialist degree from NIU with a Superintendent endorsement. Currently, she is working to complete her Doctorate from NIU.
Davis began her educational career over 20 years ago as a bilingual teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant director before she landed a position in West Chicago District 33. For the past 10 years she has served in District 33 as the Director of Second Language Learning and Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. She was appointed as the Interim Superintendent in June of 2019.
During her time in D33, she focused on developing the K-8 curricular program. She led D33 teams in the development of an inclusive educational model that includes the expansion and improvement in dual language education, special education, gifted and talented education, full-day kindergarten and middle school block scheduling. As the interim superintendent for the past five months she spent time listening and learning from the community through focus group interviews. Based on what she learned was important to key stakeholders she has prioritized increasing building safety, improving two-way communication with parents, developing strong grade level teams, and evaluating and improving some of the district’s programs.
