Flu Season - Info & Tips

Attendance is important, and school is a better place when your child is here. However, in the midst of flu season, we want to remind parents that it is important to keep children who are ill home when they are too sick to learn and there is a risk of making others ill.
 

La asistencia a clases es muy importante, y la escuela es un mejor lugar cuando sus hijos están presentes. Sin embargo, en medio de la temporada de influenza, queremos recordarles a los padres que es muy importante dejar a sus hijos en casa cuando están muy enfermos como para aprender y exista el riesgo de enfermar a otros estudiantes.

NO SCHOOL - Mon., February 17, 2020 (Make-Up Day if Needed)

The school calendar also states that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 17, 2020 in recognition of Presidents' Day. 
 
However, if there is a snow or weather related school closing before this date, then Monday February 17th will be used as a make-up day.
 
If this occurs, the district will notify all parents and staff.

Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2020-2021

Kindergarten Registration is for children who will be five years old by September 1, 2020 and live within the boundaries of District 33. If your child does NOT fall within the age requirements and you would like to request early entrance into kindergarten, please contact your neighborhood school. 
 
 
 
Mr.  Maurice McDavid will be new principal of Turner School beginning July 1, 2020.

Board Announces New Turner School Principal

The D33 Board of Education announced that it has selected Mr. Maurice McDavid as the next principal of Turner Elementary School. He will be replacing Mr. John Rodriguez, who will be retiring at the end of June 2020.
