Administrative Compensation Report
The Illinois General Assembly requires school districts to post an itemized salary compensation report for employees in the District holding Administrative Type 75 certificates and working in that capacity, including the District Superintendent.

Course Approvals (Certified and Classified)
Requests for course approval for salary advancement (certified) or tuition reimbursement (classified) must be submitted and approved by the Superintendent in advance of the first day of the class. Courses used by teachers to access the last lane of the ETAWC salary schedule must be in an approved program of study.

- Teacher Inservice for DuPage Educators (TIDE classes) are offered through the DuPage Regional Office of Education, with graduate credit approved through National-Louis University, Aurora University and Benedictine University. Educators in DuPage County are given registration priority, although courses are offered to any educator as space is available. Please remember to complete a course approval form at least two weeks prior to the first day of class in order to access salary advancement credit.

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
The Family and Medical Leave Act provides employees with unpaid leave for the following reasons:
- Parental responsibilities, including birth, adoption or placement for adoption
- Serious health condition of the employee,
- Serious health condition of a spouse, son, daughter, or parent,
- Qualifying exigency of a son, daughter, spouse, parent, or next of kin, or
- Care of a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.
In addition, District 33 provides that employees may use accumulated sick leave for some or all of their FMLA leave. Employees are encouraged to review their union contracts and the documents below for more information. If you are going to access FMLA leave, please contact the Office of Human Resources as soon as possible to make arrangements.

Recertification
Teachers are required to renew Standard Teaching Certificates every five years. Teachers holding Initial Teaching Certificates are required to apply for Standard Teaching Certificates following four years of full-time teaching experience and completion of necessary professional development activities.
