Mission Statement

It shall be the Mission of the Foundation for Educational Excellence, serving West Chicago Elementary District 33, to acquire and distribute financial and other resources to the school district for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education and providing students with extended learning opportunities.

A Striking Success!

Thanks to the efforts of many groups and individuals the Annual Valentine Bowl and Charity Auction sponsored by the D33 Foundation for Educational Excellence was an outstanding success!

In addition to the wonderful raffle baskets available and the silent auction items, $25 cash was awarded for every RED PIN STRIKE:

  • Alyson Robbins, secretary at Wegner School, won $50 for signing up the most teams.
  • LMS PTO won $100.00 for Raffle Basket the earned the most money.

The event netted over $7000.00. This money will eventually be distributed within the school district for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education and providing students and staff extended learning opportunities. Specifically, the Foundation has provided funds to the following items:

  • A Mobile Computer Lab
  • Smart Boards
  • Book Bags
  • Read Under the Trees Program
  • Teacher Mini-Grants

The members of the Foundation would like to express sincere appreciation for all who helped make this year's event a success!

The Foundation for Education Excellence donated $2500.00 to the purchase of books that were given to children in in West Chicago by volunteers from District 33 and other community members during the annual Read Under the Trees event.
