Heart rate monitors are used during our fitness unit. Students are tracking their own personal intensity to form their own workouts! 
 
 
Welcome to Mr. Eversole's Physical Education Page. Mr. Eversole teaches both 6th and 8th grade physical education, 6th grade health, and coaches 7th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball.
 
 
Mr. Eversole wants kids moving no matter what they do! This can be team sports, individual sports, or setting a personal fitness goal. Our entire physical education department exposes students to multiple avenues of lifelong fitness!
 
Our program focuses on the developing physically literate individuals. Quality physical education=Physical Literacy
 
 Physical literacy is the mastering of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills that permit students to read their environment and make appropriate decisions, allowing them to move confidently and with control in a wide range of physical activity situation.
 

Standard 1 - The physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.

Standard 2 - The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance.

Standard 3 - The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.

Standard 4 - The physically literate individual exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.

Standard 5 - The physically literate individual recognizes the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and/or social interaction.
