The Board of Education approved a Long Term Facilities Plan on October 5, 2017.
This plan was developed by the Facilities Committee which started meeting in February 2017. The Committee was comprised of 14 members including:
- D33 administrators,
- Arcon staff (District's architectural firm),
- 2 D33 Board members
- teachers union representative,
- school principal,
- PTO members, and
- members of the community.
Work will begin in several schools starting in June 2018 and will continue for at least the next 2 summers. District 33 will use existing fund reserves to pay for this long term plan, no borrowed money will used.
This is a major D33 initiative which will impact current and future students, staff, and community members in appositive way. We look forward to sharing the progress of this major initiative in the forthcoming months and years.
More details on specific projects at each school will be coming shortly to the D33 website.
