Back in October of 2017, the Board of Education approved the Long Term Facilities Plan along with using up to $22 million of existing reserves to pay for the first two years of facilities projects within that plan. We are now in the planning process for year 2 of the Long Term Facilities Plan. Next summer (June-August 2019) we will be completing several projects.
1. New bathrooms
and plumbing repairs at Turner school
2. Complete the
renovation of remaining bathrooms at Indian Knoll school
asphalt pavement, sidewalks, and curb repair for Currier parking lot and
addition of 14 parking spaces
4. New STEM
Lab/Innovation Centers at Gary, Indian Knoll, Currier, Wegner, and Pioneer
5. New secure
entrances at all elementary schools as well as the Early Learning Center and
ESC (Administration building)
As mentioned earlier, these projects will be paid from existing District reserves, no funds are being borrowed. Updates to these
projects will be forthcoming on the District website in the coming months.
